Whole Church Picnic

Update 9:20am Sunday 6th August.

Due to the overcast nature of the day and the possibility of a shower, the Whole Church Picnic has been moved to our Silverdale location, 2265 Silverdale Rd, Silverdale.

Please drop-off anyone in your car in the carpark and then find parking nearby, away from the roadwork currently taking place on Silverdale Rd. Please leave the carpark spots for those who are less mobile.

The large outdoor area will provide lots of space for us if the weather stays fine. If it does rain we can use the undercover entrance, the covered playground and the internal spaces.

We’re getting together as one big church family for a picnic!

When: Sunday, August 6th from noon.

What to bring:

  1. BYO picnic essentials: food and drinks, picnic blankets and chairs, plates, napkins, sunscreen, hats and anything else you need for picnic. And a pen!

  2. Food to share – there will be a couple of communal party tables to place your favourite slice/dips/cakes/chips etc for us to enjoy together.

No nuts. Please write your name visibly on your plate/platter so that those with special dietary requirements can seek you out for the ingredients, or to get the recipe!

  3. Picnic games to play with others around you: Boules, Finska, Frisbee etc

  4. A welcoming attitude looking to meet new people and include those less connected in our church community. Start conversations, share a picnic blanket, invite to join a game, offer a snack.

This is a rare opportunity to spend time with brothers and sisters in Christ from across our four congregations. Let’s make the most of it, expressing the warmth and hospitality that God has shown us.
